Our Story
Joy Budine had a dream to have a school on a farm where children could learn about loving Jesus, creating relationships with peers and other adults, animals, the land, the plants and life skills--so she and DeWayne decided to open a Farm School after Joy retired from teaching public school in 2024.
Mission
Farmer DeWayne and Mrs. Joy were married in 1991. Joy has been a teacher of young children since she was a young girl and inspired by the teachers that she had through her school years. She has a passion for teaching and couldn't imagine life any other way. Farmer DeWayne grew up on the farm that he now owns with his Grandpa, his uncle and great uncle. He is a former IT guy who has farming and fixing at heart. He is the reason Joy of Learning Farm School exists and is so beautiful!
The Farm
Our school is located between rural towns of Agency and Gower, Missouri on 43 acres. DeWayne and Joy Budine built the Joy of Learning Farm School in 2024.
